Artist description
Combining melodic and decidedlyun-"girly" female vocals with outstanding percussion & dreamy guitars, foregone creates hooky, melodic alt-rock that enchants and haunts. With the struggles, pains and defeats of life set against a backdrop of spiritual exploration, foregone writes songs for the broken-hearted and searching. Life, love, anything at all. |

Artist History
In October 1998, with one band passing away, Jed Sweigard and Kristina Cote team up with fledgling guitarist Scribe to "give it another go." Struck with inspiration, Scribe composed "Melancholy Green", which allowed the three to skip past the traditional birthing pains of cover songs and trying to find your niche and jump directly into the good stuff. Unfortunately, the folly of youth caught up with them. As foregone became something very, very real, the pressure became too much for Kristina, who left the band. After several attempts to keep foregone alive, Jed and Scribe finally allowed it to die in peace. A recent bout of nostalgia inspired Scribe to create the foregone tribute website, with never before seen pictures, detailed info about the songs, and more. Forthcoming: The Falling Up The Stairs EP - A hybrid rock/electronica album featuring remastered versions of three core foregone songs and various trance/cyberpunk reconstructions of those songs, courtesy of _vesper. |
