Artist History ANTHONY MILLS writes Musical Warfare. Musical Warfare is a socially conscious body of lyrics from life experiences, and themes expressed through the songs of this phenomenal and highly original musician. MILLS’ experiences in music up until now has touched a wide variety of disciplines and styles. As a student of opera, mills transferred from Heidelberg College, in his native Ohio, to the Manhattan School of Music in NYC. here he studied and performed with some of the opera world’s most important voices. Once at the Manhattan School, mills focused on his own songwriting. Highly influenced by Spirituals, Classical, Hip-Hop, Soul, Reggae and Jazz, his talent continues to grow.brick by brick he is Building a catalogue fortress of recordings and thru practice the live show is fordged. MILLs career as a professional recording artist began in 1996 after an audition with met opera performance superlative teacher grace bumbry.Carnegie hall and a tour of allemande followed. Thru many gifts from his hometown mills was priveledged to study with frau bumbry in saltzburg, Austria at the motzarteum. In 1997, mills began a working relationship with American music legend and calypso star, mr. Harry Belafonte. Winning a spot as a backup vocalist in Belafonte’s all-star band, Anthony continues to tour the world, singing for audiences in Europe, Canada, West Indies, and the states. Most recently, Anthony has been collaborating with Sly Dunbar, Earl “Chinna” Smith, reggae producer Phillip “Fatis” Burrell,commissioner Gordon,and many others across the map. MILLS is bulding a following throughout the world.
