Artist History
AfterShok is a four-piece "classic metal" band that showcases aggressive guitars and powerful, melodic vocals. Their sound is firmly grounded in the best traditions of hard rock and metal, but through their commitment to strong songwriting and musicianship they have taken these influences and forged them into a style all their own.
While AfterShok is relatively new to the scene, the project has been in existence for over four years and is the result of collaborations between vocalist Vic Hix and guitarist George Mihalovich. And with the later addition of the band's crack rhythm section, Nick Griska on bass guitar and George B. on drums, AfterShok became complete.
Vic is most noted for his tenure as the lead-singer of MCA/IRS recording artists Shok Paris, who emerged from the Cleveland, OH scene in the mid-to-late 80's. During that time Shok Paris released three international albums and toured the US with the likes of Savatage and Accept.
AfterShok has opened shows for international recording artists Yngwie Malmsteen, Lizzy Borden, Doro, Nevermore and Savatage. They are currently in the final stages of their debut CD "Unfinished Business", writing new material and playing selected gigs in the Eastern United States. |
