Artist History
Chris and Gerlinda met while working at a bookstore in Atlanta. They hooked up with Chris' friend Jeff and formed Weak Lazy Liar. A year and one CD later, Jeff left to pursue other interests. Without a permanent drummer, Chris and Gerlinda thought it was over. Then, they met Joe, a great drummer who moved to Georgia from California. Now, with new energy and the freedom to play all over the galaxy, Weak Lazy Liar is out promoting their second CD, entitled "yesterday night" (co-produced by Jeep Hook, guitarist for 80's recording artists Talk Talk and Basia). |

Press Reviews
"The energetic beat of "empress of new york" recalls the danceable tunes found on the John Hughes teen flicks of the '80's. Singer Gerlinda Grimes' voice, an infectious whisper, melds with the acoustic guitar and boom-bada-boom of the bass and drums." --DANIEL D. WILLIAMS, BIRMINGHAM WEEKLY"Singer/guitarist Gerlinda Grimes has polished up some silky smooth new material for Weak Lazy Liar's new disc YESTERDAY NIGHT, pushing their Sundays-like vibe into more mature musical territory." -- GREGORY NICOLL, CREATIVE LOAFING, ATLANTA, GA |
