Artist History
The Brother Project was formed in 1996 after Lead Guitarist Tim Gerland and Rhythm Guitarist Mike Koerner had been performing as an acoustic duo in coffeehouses around the Buffalo, New York area. They soon brought in Tim's brother Jay Gerland to play Drums and Percussion and then Chris Gangarossa, from Diamond Head Crater, California, to play Bass Guitar, and began creating their own brand of Improvisational Rock and Roll.
For almost two years, The Brother Project performed across Western New York as a four-piece group, recording 13 original songs in the studio. The first six were released as the cassette |
