Artist History
During a stale moment in south Florida's music scene, in 1994 The Agency was given birth to revitalize the situation. Combining the technical capabilities of Rush, rock like sound of Seaweed and a dash of emotional output and hooks of Braid and we get The Agency. Already haveing released a 7", one EP, two full lengths and being featured on various compilations, The Agency wants to create music that is a little more sophisticated compared to today's everyday rock oriented group. The Agency has also had the pleasure of sharing stages with prolific acts such as Samiam, Braid, Superdrag, Get Up Kids, Hot Rod Circuit, Lagwagon, Unwritten Law, Discount, Boy Sets Fire, Kid Dynamite, In My Eyes, Good Riddance, The Stereo, Against All Authority, New Found Glory, Quit, Joshua, Poison The Well and many others, The Agency has held their on stage. |

Press Reviews
Review of "Engines" - "Florida seems to be one of the few places left still giving the pop-punk sound one last try. While places like San Fransisco, LA, and New York moved onto more orginal sounds, Florida still finds the stuff interesting. Perhaps, the reason is that those formerly prolific bastions of punk-rock superstardom failed to raise more bands that furthered the sound, or did it in a fun way anymore. There were too many MTX, NOFX, and Green Day copy cats for anyone's good. Fortunately, we have Florida to thank for bands like Discount, A New Found Glory, and The Agency. I saw The Agency last summer when they toured with The Grey AM, a band totally different from the The Agency's pop sounds. I was immediately impressed by their technical compentance and musicianship which had them pumping out some of the best pop-punk this side of the Mason Dixon line. As matter of fact, the first song on this record, "Zero," could easily make it to national radio level with no problem. Equal parts Weezer, NOFX, and Poison; this stuff rocks."
