Artist History
Fade To Black was conceived by Tim Russell, a veteran musician originating in the rich Milwaukee/Madison, Wisconsin music scene, but now based in Southern California. Fade To Black is a band in concept, but individual in execution. Think Nine Inch Nails and you get the picture. In essence, Fade To Black is a vehicle for Tim’s solo work: all original, 100% conceived, developed and executed on his own. |

Press Reviews
"Fade to Black's newly released "Cellophane Fusion" is an ambitious 12-song disc...""… on tracks such as the haunting and beautiful "Useless to Complain" and driving "Stealing the Dream," it is easy to hear a gifted artist (Tim Russell) at work."- Robert Kinsler, Orange County Register; "Russell's songs are enhanced by a musical world filled with more than the usual guitar-bass-drums approach: Keyboards and piano work to fill in the material. So while his songs are set in locales from 'Korea to Paris and various points between'…the music is varied enough to support the rapidly changing journeys undertaken on the disc."- Steve Sturgeon, The Sturgeon News Syndicate |
