Artist History
Dan Bynum started playing guitar and singing at the age of 19 in order to attract women. While this rather obvious ploy worked to a degree, Dan soon realized he was having more success with the guitar than with the women. This lead to the writing of his first song, "My Guitar Never Says No". After the usual apprenticeship of open-mike nights and coffeehouses, Dan briefly left The True Faith of Folk Music while playing guitar and singing for "The Brakemen", an Arizona-based bluegrass group. Upon regaining his senses, he moved back to his native Oklahoma and allowed his folk roots to re-emerge (which is a fairly bizarre image if you think about it). While ballads are his stock-in-trade, he will occasionally indulge in a bit of creative weirdness, one such example being "The CyberSex Song". |
