Artist History 5 South was formed in the summer of 1998 out of a desire to bring back old school flavor to today's R&B music. Longing for the grooves of James Brown and Curtis Mayfield, these 5 musicians set out tobring the old school flavah back in the mix.They have been playing to packed houses in the San Diego area and are getting ready to go large.
