Artist History
She Cries Alone was formed in 2000 as a side project of Joshua Heinrich and Eric Loftis, who were also the sole members of goth industrial band Colder Than Yesterday and the post-punk outfit Slow Drip Lizard. Heinrich and Loftis set out with the intention of creating an ambient album that would effectively act as a non-narrative, audio version of a horror film..a somewhat unsettling experiment in minimalist ambience. Originally planned for release in 2000, the debut album was put on the backburner and never even started.. In 2002, with Josh growing annoyed at Loftis' lack of productivity, Colder Than Yesterday's demise looming, and Slow Drip Lizard's album being released as a solo album by Heinrich (after Loftis dropped out of the project), Josh took over She Cries Alone himself and attempted to recruit other members, moving in a new stylistic direction with the first She Cries Alone song being a demo recorded with The Destruction of Nature by Technology's Mike Govenettio called "the never world"... At this point in time, the future of She Cries Alone is up in the air, although Josh is hoping to work with Govenettio in the future on a studio version of "the never world" along with several supporting tracks for a single or EP release. |
