Artist History The basis of ShatterpoinT was created when mark and mike joined up with Wes in a local wilmington hardcore band called RiDGiD. After a year of playing with RiDGiD, things unexpectedly fell apart. Once being a five piece(drums, guitar, guitar, bass, vocals), RiDGiD suddenly found themselves one guitarist short and searching for a new drummer. The first person brought to mind was Mark's good friend and drummer from a previous band, Devon. The first jam session told the story and from there, ShatterpoinT was born. As for the name "Shatterpoint," it perfectly describes the bands sounds and motives. Dubbing themselves "melodically dynamic ballz-to-the-wallcore," ShatterpoinT's prime audio objective is to create an intensely dynamic rollercoaster ride which will transcend the listener from the most depressed, sullen, eerie feel to an explosive rush of angst and power.
