Shadowdance takes the heaviness and aggression of American power metal and fuses it with the speed and epic bombast of the European style. Twist in subtle hints of everything from Black Metal to Progressive to Latin Jazz music and you begin to see what sets Shadowdance apart from their peers. Every song is masterfully imbued with it’s own personality and flair, with no two songs sounding alike yet there is a common stylistic edge that links them. Lyrically they weave intricate stories based on real life and the hardships that can come with it; stories that anyone can relate to.

Artist History Shadowdance was formed in mid 1999 by guitarist Carlos Alvarez and drummer Jason Fraticelli. They were joined a few months later by bassist Brad Stuart. Not willing to wait around until they could find the right people to fill out the lineup, they enlisted the aid of session vocalists and some additional musicians to record their debut, full length cd "Ageless". Shadowdance is happy to announce that the position of 2nd guitarist has been filled by newest member Joe Johnson. They are still currently seeking a permanent keyboardist.
