Artist description
Scott Starrett, born in Cincinnati in 1971, received his master's degree from the Juilliard School, where he was a student of John Corigliano. He worked as a composer/orchestrator to Michael Kamen on HBO's "From the Earth to the Moon" and MTV's "Bryan Adams Unplugged." Mr. Starrett has written original music for short fiction and documentary films that have been screened at festivals throughout North America. As a concert composer, his music has received performances in New York, Chicago, and Boston. Mr. Starrett was a Fulbright scholar in Rome under the sponsorship of Hans Werner Henze. |
