    Artist History
In 1995, Marc released the first demo CD Lifeless "I'm a worm" which was into straight forward death metal. One year later, in 96 he released the first full lenght CD entitled "Belief" which tended to a more progressive and melodic approach to metal music. In 1997, "Forward To Suffering" came out and showed a total different view from usual metal patterns. An album full of surprises. A kind of it's own. In 1998, he released a video clip for the song "Frightened To Deceive" taken from the "Forward..." album. Then in 99, the third full lenght CD has finally been completed featuring Shlomit Butbul on vocals. In times, where the metal scene seems to be repeating it self, Lifeless progressed musically and lyrically.

    Press Reviews
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Lifeless, a quick explanation is due. This was a one man project, a vision that was created by Marc Kieffer. It was one of the few death metal bands that I had constant praise for, as Marc strived to be different instead of following the same, tired, old trends that's associated with this style of music. My experience with Lifeless started with "Belief" and continued with "Forward To Suffering." Now, it will end with "The Reconciliation - The Third Of A Trilogy." Sadly, this is to be the last Lifeless album. But, Marc is going out with a bang, ending the Lifeless project at the height of his musical creativity. This release, if I'm listening to it right, is a concept album. I don't think I've got a total understanding of the concept. I believe it's a release about ending Lifeless and moving it. It's more of a personal release and a gift to the legion of fans who have supported the Lifeless project over the years. As an added bonus, the demo version of the entire album is featured at the tail end of the CD. Marc has said that this is an album of choice. His main goal was to end this project on a high note, which he has accomplished. This album, as well as the previous two, will forever stand as a tribute to the force that was known as Lifeless. If you really want to appreciate what this project was all about, I would suggest ordering all three releases and listening to them in order. That's the only way you'll ever see the true genius that Lifeless was and forever will be.
