Artist description
The Newest Form of Rock 'N Roll has arrived. Everyone and anyone who has been waiting for a new dose will be relieved. Lawson has taken a shot of Glam Rock / Power Pop and mixed it with everything you enjoy about the "Indie Rock" movement. Lawson consists of five guys, who have done their time in some of Houston's most well traveled and beloved bands (Drunken Thunder, Bickley, Westbury Squares, The Fools, SpeakEasy, and many more). Each member of this band has their own style and presence that you must see to believe. There is so much going on at a Lawson show, that one viewing could never be enough. This is a band that has been reviewed as "The closest thing to seeing an old Replacements' show" to "Sound(ing) exactly like Rocket from the Crypt would have if they'd never had a horn section". If you were to talk with Lawson, you could see in their eyes that this is what Rock 'N Roll is all about. |
