Artist description
Justin Z is a new school music making twisted mind. He has spent much of his childhood moving around from New York to Florida. He considers himself very lucky to have had a great deal of learning experiences in the music industry. He has done everything from a semester long school internship at a very popular record company to a brief one day security/productions help on a limp bizkit video shoot and currently stopped working for Sony music.
His work experience has contributed a great deal in his music playing. He has a wide range of taste in music, which has made it easier for him to learn different techniques in making music.
Justin Z was mostly into rap during his early youth. He listening to mostly Old School dirty down south Booty Rap. Favorite song from that time period being a collaboration between Ice Cube and George Clinton. From there he began to open his mind and fell into rock music. Punk Rock like early Green Day, Aerosmith and, Primus. After a while Justin Z started falling into the punk rock scene and felt the love for it. Then there was a sudden more back to New York and after reestablishing his friendships with his old friends back in New York, he started getting into the whole alternative scene even more. His friends were up on stage having fun, making music. Watching them make music, Justin Z realized this was something he wanted to do...make music that he enjoys and play it for people. Around age 16 he picked up his first bass guitar at a yard sale for $5. Justin just sat at home practicing for about 4 hours a day and after a while he started learning some cords and began to jam with some of the kids in the band room during lunch and after a while of just playing bass by himself, he joined up with a bunch of really cool people and they started the band Innovator.
Innovator started in October of 1998 with Justin Z, Diego Garcia and Justin Farrell. They first jammed in S.O.S. Studios. From there on Justin Z decided he wanted to join the band adding his unique style of bass playing. Finally as the permanent bassist, jam sessions in diego's basement began. There Innovator then Started working very hard on there music writing 4 songs without a drummer. With only four songs written, and less than a month away from Innovators first gig, Innovator was still wildly panicked about the fact that they had no drummer for the show. Justin Z finally found Lenora. She jammed with Innovator and Innovator finished 5 songs just in time for the first gig. The show was great. The mosh pit was wild. They stole the night!
Since 1998 innovator has advanced to become better musicians and people. Who have grown apart after Lenora the drummer had left. Their music was hardcore/thrash with a flavor of hip-hop. The only problem about classifying Innovator music under that type of genre is that there is so much more to their music that a lot of people over looked. They took elements of all types of different music and blend it into their own.
Not only does Innovator make music for you to enjoy but they've put on a great stage show for you to enjoy too. Their stage presences is really great and they are not afraid to let you know who's rocking the house. Justin Z is truly an Innovator and If you were to read the meaning of the term Innovator in the dictionary you would find that Innovator means "to begin or introduce (something new) for or as if for the first time" and that's what Justin Z is all about fresh new music and now a bit older and wiser Justin Z has decided to start off and try something a bit different.
Justin Z become a member of fellow friend and hardcore legend Rob Gee's band called Natas Productions. Playing show's all around the world and state's in front of massif crowds. Justin Z once officially in Natas Productions was shortly renamed by Rob Gee as Pimp Minister Justin Z after Rob Gee noticed Justin Z kicking it with the lady's. Now Justin Z shows off his insanity and stage presence when rocking shows with his new friendship band mates.
Soon after Pimp Minister Justin Z Joined Natas Productions he started Djing and after 2 and a half months made his first appearance in Montreal, Canada and is scheduled to spin and play like with Natas productions at boo 6 one of New York's biggest raves in a long time if not ever!
As you might have figured out by now Justin is taking out all of his aggression and feelings and putting them into his music. Starting with his first Online release "Justin Z. Stabbing bitten ." Very short but its just a taste and a tease for what to come in the future which is hopefully total greatness and fulfillment in his music endeavors...

Press Reviews
What is your product about? My product is the music that I put out. Either Solo or preferably with my band Rob Gee And Natas Productions.
How hard was it developing? Well developing it myself, learning how to play, produce and play with a band took a very long time. Its just not something you can just jump into. Technology is getting better. Almost to the point where my little 7 year old sister can produce beats on the fruityloops demo off online. However, I think it take individuality to get out there nowadays. One needs to develop and sorta stray away from what everyone else is doing, and for myself its been around 6 years of learning music to get to the point where I'm at now.
Who is your target audience? Wow, who isn't? Well to be honest with you, I'm so open minded when it comes to music. I would love to try to identify with everyone if I could. (All the Hip-Hopers, Metal heads, Punk rockers, Breakers, Hard-core heads, Ravers, Rappers and all salsa and margia booty shakers and anyone else I might have missed.) Its just that's there's a lot of different styles that influence me every day.
Where do you advertize? Mostly threw e-mails or to friends and anyone new I might happen to meet. I'm usually talking about my band Rob Gee and Natas Productions or like I'll be mentioning something about my solo career.
What did you major in school? I haven't made it to college yet but I'm starting very soon. I'm going be looking to taken up some music theory, business, and law. I got all my bases covered.
What do you think the future of schools are? I think school plays a very important role in everyone's life and without it people are not going to have a whole lot to fall back on. So its best to go and get it taken care of.
How can people contact you? I prefer threw one of my web site's. Either www.adamrecordings.com or www.JustinZ.cjb.net or e-mail Innovatormail@yahoo.com |
