Artist History
"One on the first day there were guitars, on thesecond there were vocals, the third day broughtthe bass, and then the vocals said let there be drums and there were drums. Thus was created Frost Bite. "Frost Bite, a local hardcore band from Kansas City, started out as the aspirations of two young guitar players, Jeff Parker and David Marles. After a year of messing around theyrecruited Chuck Pilcher, vocals. Andrew Schoen, bass, was added soon aftewards. All they lackednow was a drummer. After some serious talking and begging by Chuck a good friend of theirs, Jeremy Vrentas, joined on as the drummer. Now with theirband complete and a year of practice Frost Bite is now ready for their take over of the hardcorescene. |

Press Reviews
February 1, 2001 Nieners Bar & Grill Independence, MoLet me start off by saying sorry to everyone who showed up a Nieners to see Tytus Layne on February 1, 2001. Unfortunately, Nathan brokehis drum over the weekend and they had to cancel the show. Luckily Steve, the booking agent for Neiners, found a kick ass replacement forthem. Thank you, so much, to Steve and the guys from Frost Bite. They turned in their demo to Steve on January 31st and he booked them to playthe next night. So for short notice, they had their stuff together pretty good. Chuck, the vocalist, has a bad ass voice and the drummer did, extremelywell considering the drum setup he was playing on. The only advice, I would have, to make the show better, would have been to turn up themic volume on the vocals when they played, their new song "Till It Bleeds." He went from screaming into the mic on the previous song to actuallysinging on this tune. You could just barely hear him. I still enjoyed the song though. The crowd seemed to be really into the show also. Chuck thanked everyone for coming and said to stick around for Conspiracy because they "rock ass." I totally loved this band and look forward to seeingthem again, sometime, very soon! If you get the chance to see Frost Bite, go for it. They "rock ass!"Forbidden EntertainmentWWW.KCBands.Com |
