Artist History
Millions of people know Persia White as Lynn on UPN's hit show "Girlfriends". What most people don't about Persia is that she is the lead singer of one of the loudest, most aggresive bands in Los Angeles. Persia's band Call Box has been blowing doors off venerable L.A. establishments such as the Whisky, the Roxy, and the Coconut Teazer since the summer of 2000, and blowing the minds of L.A.'s heavy music fans in the process.Persia's soulfully aggresive vocals soar above the rumbling riffage of bandmates Lee Landrum (guitar), Jeff B. (drums), and Collyn McCoy (bass). This band destroys! Call Box has to be seen, and heard, to be believed. |

Press Reviews
"Hardly a Joey Lawrence-style star vehicle, Call Box is truly a band. And what a band it is: Grinding prog metal guitar riffs, spastic hardcore drumming, and sub-woofer busting jazz-slappy bass lines. But the crux of this metal biscuit is Ms. Persia White, whose powerfully sexy voice glides between death, rapcore, and the blues as if they were all the same damn thing."Dave Whitimore, NUBBINS MAGAZINE |
