I could deal witrh this kind of hard-hitting dark trance all day and all night. Don't let the length of the song fool you: This is definitely NOT a sleeper!! No disappointments here. -VYNAL VILLAGE PIRATE RADIO A great work of Trance...very atmospheric begining, almost setting the scene of a distant world. Whatever the leanings of this U.S.artist are you can't say his music hasn't got balls. For a trance track thisa very powerful rollercoaster ride, with something to say. If this wasplaying in a club I would go pretty mad over this one. And this is a 13 mbtrack too. I wonder what this artist could do in the realms of symphonic electronica.-MIRAI/UMMO --- We've heard it all before. Trance with some male hormones. But why I give 5 stars is simple: This artist doesn't use ONLY his computer to make music, but he also uses some pro equipment as well. So it sounds quite good. If the world is ready for yet another Trance act, BARAK is my bet. -Xanitra/FREETRAX----This one's a very long trip. Barak actually wrote his own bible with this track. Nice sound, nice production. (and if you want to know why I value this track so much, it's because the sound at 4'38', which makes the difference between good music and great music)-la leche/LORDS OF TRANCE -Dark God by Barak I like people who are not afraid to challenge conventions and beliefs about God, and Barak's song is an ode to computers as the modern god. Actually, Anton La Vey always said that people would one day receive the gospel from that great cathode ray pulpit, television. So Barak and La Vey are both right, it's called Broadband. This song is mostly hard yet ambient electronica after a male voice intones an intro, mentioning lots of times that "God is a Machine". Musically, the song is very dynamic, well balanced, and nicely produced. I liked the addition of the Lord's Prayer in the middle of this long song, done in the same voice you're hearing as the "God is a Machine" bit. I can't say Barak will ever be ultrapopular; most people will not see the quality of music he is writing because they will be too peeved by his message.
