Artist History
I recently found this stash of 4 Track cassette tapes in a drawer. It is a late 80's garage band called Jump City. It started in my garage in North Hollywood, as a weekly jam session and featured myself, Jr. Basco (Pierre Ardans), LJ Dopp and Stanley Chin - all playing various combinations on guitar, bass, piano and drums. I played drums for Pierre's songs, he played drums for mine. LJ played piano and guitar, Stan played bass and guitar. We had about four different ensembles to choose from so the sound from track to track is pretty diverse. All of these cuts were recorded on a Tascam 234-4 Track Cassette recorder using 4 discrete tracks to record hours of jam sessions - some have been further produced on multitrack using the jam session cut as the base recording. I published this stuff years ago as the Spheres for a New Age Album which I tried to sell through New Age magazines. I sold a few... |
