    Press Reviews
M.R.Taylor in 'WaveProgression' (2/99): "Rehbinder is a multi-faceted music producer, composer, and artist. He is the mind behind the recording environment "SoundSurgeryLab" in Munich. Right from the beginning of his musical career, Rehbinder was noticed as a person with extraordinary audiophile sensibilities aiming for uncommon musical expression. His composing and performing activities started with the group "Tschinnsn" back in 1982. Tschinnsn's first release "Falkland" made a profound mark on the beginning of the German New Wave minimal music style. With the group "The Sophisticated Five" Rehbinder coined another new genre, "Ecstasy-Jazz", an early kind of Jazz-Trance based on modal progressions. In 1988 he co-founded the group "Hey Man!", that featured the American Singer Lisa Keller and quickly became an important player in the German Jazz-Rock scene. On the studio level Rehbinder continued collaborating with Andrew Cancer, producer and owner of the "Exile Studios", and released "Ring", a 60 minutes piece of Art-Rock featuring classical orchestra and electronic progressions in an ambitious musical approach. The CD was released under the group label "The Third Movement". As a music producer in great demand, Rehbinder is involved in a number of productions and CD releases. On the educational level Rehbinder is giving lectures and has published many articles about music recording. The book "1 Hz fuer Saenger" (1 Hz For Singers), written with co-author Gabi Braun, became a reference guide for the technical education of singers. These days Rehbinder is focussing on "assembling pieces of noise in and from natural and artificial environments", which will almost certainly open another new gate of experience to his listeners. Because, no matter what Rehbinder does, there's always something special about his music!"
