Artist description As a guitar soloist, Mark Hanson regularly travels the country, presenting concerts and guitar masterclasses. He has shared the stage with such luminaries as the late Jerry Garcia, John Renbourn, LaurenceJuber, Alex de Grassi, and Pat Kirtley. His music isheard regularly on syndicated TV and radio, including "Martha Stewart Living" and "NPR's West Coast Live." His quartet, the Acoustic Guitar Summit, released its second CD in 2000. Mark also hosts the week-long Accent On Music Guitar Seminar each summer, attracting guitar students from around the world. Mark currently lives with his family near Portland, Oregon. He has a degree in music from Stanford University, and has taught guitar at several institutions of higher learning.
