Artist History
End It was formed in May of 2000 and currently consists of Mike Palm on vocals, Ed Highe on guitar, Mike Nastasy on bass and Greg Mastin on drums. Determined to revive the riff heavy, old school thrash/speed metal sound that all of its members grew up on, this side project quickly developed into a full-time band. Three months after forming, the band was in the studio recording demos that would later be released as an EP simply entitled, "6 songs." Shortly after, three new songs were recorded, mastered and released, along with songs from the original recording, as the "Keep Swingin'" EP. These three new songs were mastered by Peter In De Betou, famous for his work with Entombed, at The Cutting Room in Sweden. Around this time, came an offer from an independent label, Atarms Mechanics, to release the demos as a full-length CD. Not content to release only 9 songs as a full-length, the band returned to the studio to record three additional songs, bringing the final track count up to 12.
The title of the CD is "Meet Your Maker" and will contain all of the bands recorded material up to this point. The CD is slated for an early August release on Atarms Mechanics and will be distributed through No Idea Records. End It have shared the stage with national acts Iced Earth, In Flames, Crowbar, Alabama Thunderpussy, Orange Goblin, Coalesce, Electric Wizard and Warhorse. |

BY SCOTT MYERS
"If you're going to start a Metal band take a few lessons from the guys in End It... Write these down fuckwad. There's going to be a test later.
First, actually use metal riffs. This disc has plenty, from old-school thrash riffs to death-n-roll Entombed-style riffs to death metal-ish riffage. I don't want to hear you record some pansy ass riff and tell me it's metal. Remember palm-muted open E string and POWER CHORDS. Don't tell me that the Radiohead riff you stole is Metal.
Second, if you're going to do a cover song, for fuck's sake DO IT RIGHT! End It covers Entombed's "Out of Hand" and Testament's "Nightmare" on this disc and both of them stomp ass. They didn't try to make them into a fucking funk song, a damn emo song, and they didn't sit and rewrite the whole damn chorus or verse like some of these other damn Metal bands do.
Third, make sure all your song titles sound like metal song titles"Skull Issues", "Corpse Parade", "Better Than God" equals Metal. If your song is titled "Pink Fuzzy Bunny Slippers" then you are not Metal.
Fourth.... never mind, if you need lessons then you're not metal... Here's the test to see if you're Metal. Go look at your CD collection.
Do you have a copy of End It's "Meet Your Maker"?
No?
Well, you're not Metal.
Take your pocket lint covered change, take the ten sacks of beer cans off your back porch and to the recycling center, sell your good kidney. Do whatever you have to do to get a copy of this disc..."
