Artist History
After years of writing poetry exclusively, Brian Campbell started writing and performing songs in 1993. In 1996, he began his collaboration with Pierre Sainte-Marie, an electric guitarist/arranger/programmer/sound engineer who had previously headed the contemporary jazz band, Bozar, as well as the worldbeat ensemble Voyages. Sainte-Marie recorded selections of and mastered Campbell's solo cassette, The Imaginary Album. He also became the artistic director of The Courtier's Manuscript, Campbell's first CD. The personnel on The Courtier's Manuscript consist of former members of Bozar, as well as others who have previously worked with Pierre Sainte-Ma |
