Artist History
In 1999 a manager was searching for guys who could
sing and dance to form "a boyband". Jari herd about
this opportunity from one of his friends and decided
to check it out. Luckily this manager turned out to
be a fraud. At the same time Mika had dreamt about
putting together a band of his own. It was only a few
weeks later when these like-minded guys met and
decided to join their forces and form a group of their
own. There were also two other guys who joined the
band (Jari had met them at the meeting with the
manager mentioned earlier). The group was ready
to roll! The only thing missing was a decent name.
When the training really began two of the guys
decided that they wanted to do something else and
dropped out of the project. Jari and Mika were
unwilling to give up and they found a third guy
suitable for the band. All they needed was the 4th member, Kimmo. He had
heard about Mika's band and was interested to come
and see other guys training singing and dancing.
He liked what he saw and got interested and after
a few days he was in with all his heart. The group
was ready to give all they got to make things work.
At this point they also came up with the name:
4thStreet. Four guys who were making street style
music and who were also dancing in the street style!
After a year one member decided to concentrate in
his studies so Mika, Kimmo and Jari were left by
them selves. Guys were sad to loose a good friend but
happy to have even stronger will to make this work.
At the moment the guys are working with new material
and groovy dance moves. Even a promotional music video
is in editing-stage and will be out sometime in
September - make sure you check it out!
