Artist History
starting in 1995 zoe has been writing her own original songs on keyboard and singing them, in 1998 a solo album "staring into space" was recorded but due to the fact that its crap was never released and only 5 copies were ever made. later that year she formed the band scotianova a duo which has appeared at such high class venues as rhinos all ages music club, secret sailor books, the laughing planet, borders books and music, the cellar lounge, greetings gift shop, college mall, bryan park, zoes front yard and the corner of kirkwood and dunn. they were featured in the bloomington independent. the band broke up in 2000 due to asshole drummer reasons and zoe embarked on a solo career called the ubiquitous smokey. she has collaborated with other seemingly drug referencing bands such as the mary janes and cardboard. |
