Artist description
They give you a number of sensual songs that are more fierce, more agressive and more exciting then the last Therapy? album, or as exciting as the Deftones album. Just listen to a song like "Chosen By God". |

Artist History
1996, Martijn Krijnzen and Pieter van der Jagt are thinking about forming a band. Tom Klijzing, Sjoerd Havik and Joris Taanman decide to join and Spaanse Kraag is a fact. After having played covers for half a year, the first numbers are born. For the next two years, in which it became clear that bass-players have trouble adjusting to the SK sound, a new and fertile period dawned. SK's new bassplayer, Steef de Jong, turned out to be exactly what the band needed. With him on bass the true SK sound became clear. Now, 4 years later, Spaanse Kraag brings a mix of funk and hardcore, but soul, rock and hiphop also are some keywords from SK's vocabulary. Serious and less serious subjects are handled with a lot of humor. Improvisation and dynamics give a good impression of the band's sound. They've been described as fresh, progressive, interesting and impressive. SK is ready to rock the new millennium! |
