Artist History Prior to their arrival in the United States, and for the majority of 1996, Loon were engaged as residents at Eamonn Dorans in Dublin. The band also completed a three month stint in London playing as residents for the Firkin brewery chain. Experience includes over 150 gigs in Ireland and Europe, headlining at approximately a third of those. At the end of 1996, Loon decided that they needed to reach a wider, more eclectic audience than that available in Ireland. Northern California was the chosen destination. Since arriving in the USA, the band has undergone some significant changes in personality and style. In particular, a greater degree of professionalism, and a strong work ethic, has permeated through every member. The songwriting production levels of Loon have begun to reach prolific levels, aided by the unity and determination developed through adversity and struggle.
