    Artist description
JyPsy was born in 1982 as JohnPaul Cupertino, and began listening to dementia at a young age.with supportive parents, he was free to develop his own tastes in music. Never being well off in the monetary department, he made up comedy "accapella" versions of his favourite songs, since he could not afford any instruments.in the meantime, he met a friend named Brian B.,who after seeing a concert by two then little known bands,(rusted root and citizen king) caught the"music bug" and decided to form their own group, "cellophane flowers"neither of the members could play any instruments so they found an old organ and began to figure out the entire jurassic park opening score by trial and error after 3 months of pathetic attempts, they succeded, and realized they both sucked.both members had over 30 songs written already and great tunes in their heads, but not a single lick of talent.they went their own ways and time went on.eventually JyPsy received a guitar and lo and behold.....he sucked at it,until he met a friend named Tom Bailey who introduced himto the world of GWAR, They Might Be Giants, and power chords.still not able to play to save his life, he could do short annoying one chord covers of songs like: the violent femmes "blister in the sun"black sabbath's "Iron man". but that just annoyed girlfriends. and again, tom and JyPsy went their seperate ways.finally in 1998 JyPsy decided to go solo.he found out how to make beats and techno mixes on the internet.and decided he was good at this.1999: JyPsy makes some of his first parodies, on paper....they stay there.2000: the year of the change. JyPsy meets a fellow dementia artist, "the great" Luke Ski (www.lukeski.com)who inspires him to keep his efforts going.later that year, inspired by the dead alewives skit "dungeons and dragons"and being an obsessive role player, along with the release of the 3rd edition rulesof D&D he makes a comedy skit called "3rd edition" with the help of a group of friends, who are listed in the members section. it sounds terrible, needs to be re mastered, but has a brilliance all its own. he MP3 encodes it, puts it on napster, and sends it to some of his dementia DJ friends.most love it, think its hilarious, play it a few times.others now vomit at the mention of it.later still, he begins to make techno remixes of songs, and make his own techno beats. they are a HIT with the club scene.his then favourite track: "JyPsy" (a bit of narccisim for a relativly humble artist) was played at a 3000 people new years eve party.people request it to be played again by the DJ known as "kushman".january of 2001, JyPsy makes his first CD, 27 UP YOURS!with a hilarious track called "automation" which is about the annoyance of being on hold. quite a few dementia stations had played it. The cd sells a total of 5 copies, at 3 dollars a piece and 7 were given away as "promotion" he felt good. Now 2001 is in full swing and he is working hard with more versatile mixing software to bring his many (two) fans some great beats.some say he was insane to combine rap dementia, comedy skits, and techno together...he agrees. Fall 2001, still being pointlessly slow, JyPsy makes a good friend in Timm sullivan (AKA Zajal), and gets back on the ball, now people still fear the two because they scream pointless things at each oter while walking through public places. the final name of the CD, and group is confirmed......see final section. Notes: JyPsy was known as JaPe for quite a while, until meeting Zajal, who became the second half of the "group". Zajal, known as Zajal Tix to friends and Myxitzajal to enemies, (and "dork" to most others.) Born timm sullivan, in februrary of 1981, his favorite sport as a child was setting up textbooks in the school hallways and sliding into them, constantly got into fights with his garfield fruit snacks. Very hyper, a dedicated gamer, and seemingly destined to be involved in some kind of international bananna cream pie incident, growing up, having no social life, he spent his time watching movies, being influenced by the masters of comedy, mel brooks, howie mandell, galligher, george carlin and many others. the rest of his time he spent playing and beating video games, and plotting ways to scare his cats, also training his non existant fighting skills. during high school, he was a leader in a group of geeks known as "logic no more", that decided to : (quote) "since the rest of the world had given up on logic, we did as well, and we would persue people using anti-logic." later the group disbanded and the pepper rose from Logic's ashes. then fell apart after high school, it may still exist, but that remains a mystery. after high school Zajal joined the navy, got discharged, and met with a girl, who introduced him to JyPsy.(big mistake) He married that girl, and as of winter 2001 is expecting their first child-thigie in mid 2002. his cynical and sometimes evil humor is a great addition to the group, countering the sometimes timid JyPsy.
