Artist description
The band garpike is a bass player and an drum machine recorded on an old Tascam Porta 1 (the original 4 track recorder). This is no fooling around, though. The music of Garpike is full of funky beats, jazzy lines, and (my favorite) odd time signatures. |

Artist History
In 1990 the only breathing member, Garrett, traded his cardboard cut-out of a guitar for a real bass guitar. He played a lot. He practiced a lot. He had some fun with it. He played in multiple basement-bands, such as Kitty Litter, Farmer's Elevator, and Plad. Plad evolved into what is today The Dollhouse Caper, an established jam band of Erie, PA. You can visit and hear The Dollhouse Caper via "/artists/36/the_dollhouse_caper.html". Anyway, unfortunately time has caused the members to live with many miles between them. To kill time between The DHC shows, Garrett records his own stuff. |
