Artist History Dennis has over 20 years of musical experience. He was introduced to hand drums in the mid 90's while attending the World Rhythm Festival in Seattle,WA. He has studied privately with several of the best musicians on the West Coast including Kim Atkinson whose video Mozambique was awarded a rare five star review from Modern Drummer magazine. Dennis has also attended over 50 workshops with percussionists such as master drummer Babatunde Olatunji, Frame drum master Glenn Velez and Arthur Hull-author of the book Drum Circle Spirit. Dennis' first cd 'rhythmic awareness of the strange' was released in the summer of 2000. The cd has been described as " psychedelic,tribal/ambient and quite strange." He is also co producing and playing drums on musician Rod Lingo's first cd. An instructional cd and video on playing in odd time meters is also scheduled. Dennis is also close to completing a 'Drum Circle Grooves'book.
