Artist description
Burn Disco Burn isn't a disco band. They're not an emo band. They're not even really a rock band. Or a new wave band. Or an alternative band. They're not a pop band, either, really. Or maybe they are. They're probably all of these things. They're too busy writing songs to care. |

Artist History
There are four people in the band. Nick sings and plays the guitar and writes the words. Chris plays the guitar and wears cowboy shirts. Kathryn plays the bass and borrows picks. Matt plays the drums and lets us practice in his dining room. Nick met Kathryn and then Nick met Chris and then Nick met Matt and then Kathryn met Chris and then Charlie moved and then Chris and Kathryn met Matt and then Louie joined the band and then Matt replaced Louie. And then they just kind of stayed that way. |

Press Reviews
"'I love you and what you've done with the place' is a seamless collection of tunes that dovetail neatly into one another, forming an elegant, earth-toned song cycle perfectly suited for autumnal reveries. An excellent, winning debut." Jim Musser, Iowa City Press Citizen
"The songs of Iowa City's Burn Disco Burn seep into your head. The yearning Nick Burd sings of is all too familiar. And as uncomfortable the memories may be, it's strangely comforting."
Justin Kendall, Des Moines CityView
"...contains 11 strong tracks that are further proof that the possibilities of the guitar-bass-drums set-up are yet to be exhausted. ...soaringly catchy and effortlessly winsome songs"
"I Love You... comprises 11 concise tracks summing up everything great about pop music and everything bittersweet about life."
