Artist History
When I was seven years old, 1965, my mom bought my first guitar for $20. It was a Harmony Stella, I broke all the strings and she replaced them one at a time. So there were times I had only a few strings. I found it easier and more fun to make up my owns songs, than it was to learn someone elses. Mom found an old Reel to Reel tape recorder, which had independent play/record functions for left & right, so I was multitrack recording and experimenting with tape speed at twelve years old. I was a little shy, so I put it all in the closet and put up a sign, "Alan and Company Recording Studio". |
