Artist History The Hot Moon was born in Chicago from the union of two former members of The Popping Toasters, Kenn Zazula (Vocals, Bass, Keys, Drum Programming) and Joel Cooper (Guitar, Backing Vocals). Adding a drummer (Alex Karan/Dashboard Saints), they began writing, recording, and performing. After a move to Detroit without a drummer, Kenn and Joel continued writing and recording (working with different drummers for live shows).
