    Artist History
    In an attempt to purge the Loughton Sound Artist's Collective of "crybaby dogshit and 'bleep bleep bloop' that don't make no god damned sense," B-League T-ball coach and future synth-odyssey svengali, Sensei Roderick J. Lampey, took it upon himself to forge a SuperGroup composed of his favorite elements and members of said collective. The result was The Boaz Philharmonic, an elite pop music thrilling machine born of Sensei Rod's motivational abuse and countless boystyle pushups... ...Before his untimely passing in the spring of 2002(Hepatitis Q/Ocular Herpes/Throat Stabbing), Sensei Rod was to guide the BP through the completion of a critically shunned but fantastically popular (I would assume-it's not like I actually have the numbers in front of me...) single and LP ("I Enjoy Hearing You Talk About Me" and "Lambz Of The Hard Miracle," respectively)... ...With Rod went his environment of loose amateur majorettes and gold-plated hot tubs, and Zach and Bunny were left to reconsider their art and purpose. It was not a decision to be taken lightly, nor one that could be executed without all pertinent facts. With minor adjustments to the LST's 1991 Toyota Camry, these Wizards Of Bogle Ridge traveled to the years 2027, 2054, and 3317 to peep the eventualities of their shared dream and the fruits of Roderick Lampey's legacy... ...While there, The BP collected their UltraPopular hits from years to come for inclusion on the upcoming double-LP, "BP:99.02.27.54.3317," which was recorded entirely on Dolby Organosphere in the year 2054 and grafted onto the delicate tissue of Zach Keith's spine for storage. A mixdown compatible with the technology of our day can be expected by 1/05/04...

    Press Reviews
    "The Boaz Philharmonic from Columbus, OH, transcends genres. If music has a 'dada movement' category, this would be it--revolting against conventional pop standards. Rich vocals that at times resemble the playful flamboyancy of Queen or remotely haunting like the Cure--and sounds that are just out there enough to fit on the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. As a result, their performance is original and danceable and would delight a crowd seeking originality." -Powergig.com;"Great things are about to happen to you. The Boaz Philharmonic are going to make your life better. When they release their debut album 'Lambz Of The Hard Miracle' later this year we shall all have no choice but to slap our own faces 5 to 12 times. Steady on. No, it's true, this is music of wild, crazed, unhinged, glorious, life-affirming brilliance. Their songs are an intoxicating mixture of distorted synths, free noise and beguiling vocals that somehow manages to hang together to make classic pop music." -Paul Haworth, Homelovin';"A synthpop duo with a difference, The BP combines the best of electronica and old-school Brian May guitar bravado. The mix is topped with exaggerated, weepy vocals that put me in mind of Ian McCulloch as a Nickelodeon cartoon...The music itself, a tribute to pop melodrama that seems completely devoid of irony, could stand on its own. That doesn't stop them from laying on the gimmicks... I know it sounds like they're a 'wacky' band, but it doesn't play out that way for some odd reason."-OokWorld Recent Spins;"Get past the lousy production, the faux-English accent, and the insider references, and you will find some thoughtful songwriting and a fairly decent sense of musical counter-point...There's is nothing weightier than a good potential but that's the load these guys are carrying. "-Bill, Gods of Music;
