Artist History
Outta the birth place of HIP-HOP(BRONX) comes another truely talented hip hop artist!!!! Rob Wes' delivery, style, and concepts distinguishes him as a unique versatile hip-hop artist. Rob Wes' background consist of freestylin' with the late great BIG-PUN, DMX(at the castle), Big Daddy Kane(as some of you heard on HHH), Craig Mack, and lyrically blazin' over beats produced by Master Tee(producer of "Dear Mamma" by 2 PAC). Rob Wes opens up with "Know My Name(Rob Wes)". He basically tells you who he is and what he's about over a rugged beat supplemented by a nice blend of guitars and horns. He continues to rip the mic on one of my favorites "Infiltrators". The hard drums, unique eerie background sound, bassline, and hook will surely have heads open from the east to west as well as the dirty south. "The Cure" focuses on a range of issues from politics and how catz sometimes get setup by the legal system to the strugglin' street life. "Tales from the Street" is pretty much self-explanatory. This cut was put together so well lyrically that you just have to kick back, close your eyes, and see the events as Wes' lyrics guide you through the concrete jungle. "Nuthin' But Net" , a catchy hook which personifies the song as being a hit not a miss on the basketball court. This is an up-tempo cut that will have club heads bouncin' all over the place. Seldom Seen and Carmel add some more flavor to the CD on "Thugz Week". They lyrically depict the typical week of a Thug over the blazin' sounds of Boom Bazz Entertainment....This is a very interesting track...especially for those who truely live the thug life. Shabazz and Boom Bazz Entertainment do a great job overall on bringing bangin' innovative sounds throughout the CD which leaves you with no choice but to bop your head. |
