Artist History InCarnate began in March, 1999, with Emannuel meeting James and identifying a common interest in starting a metal band. Recording first a cd single with a drum machine in order to get them a gig at Australia's biggest Christian music festival, Black Stump. After this Eman contacted an old friend in Auckland, New Zealand, to see if he would be interested in drumming. Reuben then migrated in May 1999 and started playing with the two, leading up to the band's debut at Black Stump. Following on in the summer of 2000 Luke joined the band as the vocalist. The band have done occasional gigs while recording their first EP together - 'Insufficient Funds'. Summer 2001 the band found themselves back in New Zealand for the Parachute Music Festival.
