Artist description
Forkoid specialises in heavy Drum n' Bass and serious Ambient works. Their style is very unpredictable and it changes more often than they change thier underwear! This is because of the two conflicting characters of John and Ray. John specialises in electronic sampling, mixing and Pro-Tooling, Ray in instrumentation, pro-tooling and editting. The fusion between the two achieves an original, semi-electronic sound. Influences include, Aphex Twin, Dj Shadow, Radiohead, Faithless, Massive Attack, Bjork and Tricky. Forkoid rarely plays live but demo tapes 'Sazchenk', containing serious ambient worksand 'DJJ' containing hard beats and trance andthe songs 'Kid J' and 'Much pain', are currently available. So check out the new A-side 'Zonned' on Mp3! |

Artist History
forkoid are relatively new. John and Ray both had solo projects up and running before 'forkoid' came about. On Millenium eve at a mutual friends new years bash, they discovered that they shared the same musical intersts and decided to get together and produce. What followed was a great friendship, musical understanding and, above all, great songs! |
