Artist History
fivefootAnnie came into existence in the Fall of 1999. Three guys had a dream of starting a band. As they began talking about their concept, talking produced into writing songs, and writing songs developed into playing songs, which eventually developed into fivefootAnnie. The band members Adam, Jared, and Travis seemed to hit it off well and fivefootAnnie began to produce songs rather quickly. The first practices were held in Travis' garage. The garage would be below 30 degrees at times, but the band continued to practice (even without a drummer)and let the music keep them warm. Then fivefootAnnie held their practices at the MTSU Student Christian Center, but nowadays they have their own permanent practice studio in Travis' house. On March 3, 2000 Jesse Florida joined the band and completed the fivefootAnnie foursome. Jesse was a spectacular drummer and a great addition to the band. On March 4, 2000 fivefootAnnie recorded their first demo tape. From then on fivefootAnnie has grown in leaps and bounds performing at many venues throughout Kentucky, Indiana, Georgia, and of course Tennessee. Jesse Florida left the band in early 2001 because of college and the time constraints it imposed on him. fivefootAnnie searched for a new drummer and finally found him. His name is Chad Burgess and he is the right man for the drums, he is much loved. Jared Straughn also left fivefootAnie, his last show with the band was in July 2002 and the search for a replacement is still underway. . . more history @ www.fivefootannie.com |
