Artist History NixonPresley is the sound laboratory of brothers timothy and sean t., veterans's of the L.A. rock-tronica band Spinach, which made a big buzz on the Hollywood scene before disbanding in 2000. The two have taken the strong suits of their former band and trimmed the fat... programming and recording as a duo and playing shows with a live rhythm section and guest performers. Swapping vocals and instruments, the boys serve a very '00 montage of alternative rock, pop, electronica and trip-hop. Starting from a foundation of thick guitars, NP lays the dubs down thick, pushes the groove and drops in the hooks, and then does it all again three minutes later. With Los Angeles as the backdrop, the songs offer a completely american expression of the so-called good life in mcworld, complete with special sauce, supersized servings, and just a touch of self awareness.
