Artist History It all started 'round 1996, when Andreas and Petter joined Daniel and Mattis in their quasi-thrash/speed metal band, Diversion. Thru the years we have slowly (emphasis on SLOW) evolved into a more proggy direction. The change of name from Diversion to Diverge marks this change in our sound and it also better reflects our lyrics. Alas, we are without a singer, so a friend of ours, Timo Hovinen, agreed to do the vocals on our debut demo, "Defining an Illusion", which we recorded september 1999. Due to various reasons we didn´t record the vox until june 2000, and the thing wasn't mixed 'til september 2000. Now it is finally ready to be unleashed unto a unsuspecting (and hopefully not lethargic) world...
