Artist History
Annie Moscow began her career as a classical pianist. Growing up in Philadelphia, she studied classical piano with David Sokoloff and Marian Zarzeczna of the Curtis Institute and gave numerous recitals and appeared as a guest symphony soloist, all before she turned 17. Moscow majored in music at Indiana University, and after college, she teamed up with R&B keyboard player, Steve Gold (Donna Summer, Lou Rawls, Teddy Pendergras). Together they wrote music for film, television and major recording artists ranging from Mickey Mouse to Sister Sledge to Sarah Vaughn. In October, 2000, Moscow released her debut solo CD, "Wolves At My Door", a collection of intimate and intense songs dealing with mid-life issues; insights, reflections and regrets. Since the release of "Wolves", Moscow has been performing her music throughout the country. She is frequently joined by Steve Gold, backing her up on keyboards. |

Press Reviews
GOLDMINE says: 'Annie Moscow is a seasoned songwriter, even though "Wolves At My Door is her debut disc. That professionalism is evident in this effort, as Moscow offers ongoing observations about life, longing and middle age regrets. Hers is a singular voice, both in its soaring resonance and in its poignant perspective, a rarity in a musical environment that champions teen queens and bitter babes. It's fair to say "Wolves At My Door" is a howling success.'ARIZONA SENTINEL says: 'With emotionally resonant vocals and an explosive piano style, artist Annie Moscow has been compared to Tori Amos and Fiona Apple. Moscow provides a profound spectrum to the songwriter's repertoire with observations on life from a middle-age perspective. |
