Artist History I was born in Okinawa, Japan: I am of Japanese and American (Irish/English) decent.My first exposure to music started with my mother teaching me how to sing in the shower. My dreams of being a singer had its beginnings when I started modeling for Japanese karaoke-video productions in high school. Soon after graduation, I sent out my portfolio to a music production in Japan. Shortly thereafter, the production company wanted to sign me to be an “idol” singer. However, my father’s dream was for me to follow his footsteps by attending his college in America. Therefore, I put my dreams on the backburner and achieved my father’s dream. While attending college, I picked up the guitar and rediscovered my passion for music. After learning a few basic chords, I began to write my own songs and was eager to connect with an audience. Eventually, I formed a band named Eden Tree that had an eighties- pop music appeal with a dark undertone.We played around the campus area for about two years. After graduating college, we disbanded as our musical interests diverged, so I started my solo career. I was opening for bands at bars and playing at coffee houses while working at a Japanese corporation during the day. Just recently, I moved to the Los Angeles area to expand on my music career, and I have started playing open mic’s at local coffee houses.
