Artist description
With members that include a psycho bitch, a high school math teacher, a satanic metal-freak, and a Metallica red-neck; trying to describe our sound is difficult. Therefore, we like to leave it up to the listener to decide for themselves what we sound like. If you come up with a good description, let us know. To get a grasp for our sound imagine Tori Amos on vocals, Mr. Brett (from BR) and Marty Friedman (Megadeth) on guitars, Jorge Campos (Voodoo Glow Skulls) on bass, and Jimmy Chamberlain (Smashing Pumpkins) on drums. |

Artist History
The Sinators were formed in October 1998 when Jeremy Touzel began looking for a medium he could use to launch his brainchild, The Sinators. He was looking for a group with the technical skills needed to handle the back-breaking tempos of the pop-punk tune s he was writing. He also wanted musicians who would be open to ideas that many punk musicians might not embrace. He turned to his little brother, James, who was already a member of the established regional band, fling. James then asked fling's drummer, R onnie Cleland, if he was interested in forming another band with Jeremy. After hearing the strength of Jeremy's songs, Ronnie quickly accepted James's offer and the foundations for the band were laid. As Jeremy, James, and Ronnie began prepartions to reco rd a demo and play live shows, they felt something was missing. That something was Joanna Malcolm. With Joanna handling the lead vocals, the band felt like it now had something that made the different from many other pop-punk bands. Shortly after Joanna joined the band, The Sinators went in the studio and recorded seven songs, four of which were later released on the breakneck punk rock compliation. They also started playing live shows in cities throughout South Carolina. Even with the addition of Joanna, The Sinators felt something else was missing. After a half-year of searching, The Sinators added a second guitarist, Josh Goering. For the first time, The Sinators felt like everything had fallen into place. Joanna's girly vocals coupled with Josh's meta l background and teenage energy complimented the nucleus of Jeremy, James, and Ronnie. With the new lineup in place, The Sinators are now busy playing live shows, as well as recording new material for their upcoming LP, Coloured, which is due out in the summer/fall of 2001. |
