Press Reviews
"First, let's get one thing straight; Pheromone is a band. They are friends, all songwriters and three sing lead in various songs. Bands nowadays are often littlemore than a collection of egos and starstruck posers. Or worse yet, disguises for solo artists wanting "band appeal", since male solo artists aren't the current music trend. Trendy? Pheromone aren't. Not musically anyway. In fact, sit them down and drill them for influences - honest influences, and you'll be lucky to get anything, much less the flavors of the moment. Pheromone doesn't want to sound like anyone, and true to form, they don't. Critics grasp for soundalike comparisons and give up. Some songs rock, others blissfully meander along - audiences seem to instinctively get it. The distinctively un-modern setup; guitar, bass, classic keys and drums are yet another thing setting Pheromone apart from their peers."
