Artist History Janet has been writing and performing in the Washington, D.C. area since the age of 13 when she first picked up a guitar. She was a member of "Full House" and "Bugleweed" two popular Washington D.C. based groups. Her song "Virginia" was a semi-finalist in the State of Virginia's song contest to select a new state song. She has served on the board of the Northern Virginia Folk Festival Association and is a member of Washington Area Music Association (WAMA), Songwriter's Association of Washington (SAW) and the Folk Alliance.
