Artist History
Based in Chicago, but drawing its talent from coast-to-coast, Fly Williams formed in late 1999. Performing at notable Chicago venues The Note, Martyr's, Elbo Room, and Subterranean, Fly Williams keeps audiences moving with hip funk rhythms augmented by tasty chord progressions & melodies, and dizzying horn solos. Vocalist Steve Johnson, guitarist Mark Sabatino and drummer Brett Holland are former members of acid-jazz group Zoogenic. Bassist Nick Thiakos and keys man Michael Cole are former members of the funk group Free Radicals. |
