Artist History Starting in 1998 the members of the CIC were rapping at parties and making makeshift demo tapes that found their way through the Indianapolis underground rap scene. Over the next year Cokeef, Gilly G, Dough, and J Reed came together as a group after having heard each other's material. The Crooked I Cartel establishes a new style to represent Indianapolis in the growing midwest rap revolution of the century.
