Artist History
Krister Hessling has been making music long before the nameZKH came in to being. In the early 80:s he began experimentingwith home-computers and tape-recorders. Fortunately very littleof the material from that period is preserved. The music evolvedover time, from some kind of strange mix between Kraftwerk and Howard Jones, via a blend of Jean-Michel Jarre and Cabaret Voltaire, to more of today’s electronic dance-music.In the early days ZKH made music mostly for himself, almost never played any of his stuff for anyone. That slowly changed when his friends convinced him that the music wasn’t that bad. He began to play live at parties, and compile tapes for his friends. Now live performances is a big part of the project, and CD’s with new songs are constantly flowing out of his studio. The name; ZKH became the official call-sign just before a live performance at the Arvika music-festival. His friends told him that he needed an artist-name, so he took his user-id from the mainframe-computer where he used to work. |

"Tight tracks mix up a number of toned-down Euro elements into satisfying Trance grooves.Tension-building rhythms layered with seriousmelodic effects and deep technoid machinations." |
