Artist description
Torrez’s debut album, Wild Horse, runs like a dark western. A brooding audioscape with lyrics whispered between the ghost of guitars and sparse layering of drums. One can almost hear the sounds of slow-motion projectors. It smolders with anticipation before catching fire. Live, TORREZ inject the songs with smoldering intensity. The reverb-drenched guitars and pulsating rhythm section propel these would-be dirges into the stratosphere. |

Press Reviews
"Dark and langorous, sweet and shimmering country. Super sparse arrangements, delicate lap steel, gorgeous vocals and an amazing super spacious recording make this a sweet surprise. Think Mazzy Star, Souled American, Giant Sand, Low, but recorded late at night,in the desert, when no one's listening. So nice." -Aquarius Records, SF (http://www.aquariusrecordssf.com/) |
